Tall sash windows face the sweep of Royal Crescent. A king bed, writing table and marble bath occupy a generous first-floor plan.

Lunch is served beneath the plasterwork from half past twelve until three. The room is bright, the pace unhurried, and jackets are admired but not required.

From the Crescent
to the gravel walk.

Take the hotel’s rear stair into the garden, pass beneath the lime trees and follow the upper terrace until Bath opens below you in pale stone and chimney smoke.

The Casino door.

After supper, the house takes on a different rhythm. Our in-house Casino opens through the charcoal doors: three gracious rooms for roulette, cards, conversation and a late plate served properly.
